the cloth-making techniques of spinning, weaving, dyeing, and embroidery have been passed down by the members of the li ethnic group from generation to generation for more than 3,000 years.
members of the li community today say they hope their cloth-making culture can become more widely known at home and abroad, and that more young people can learn their traditional embroidery techniques. "we also hope that we can make use of these skills in their daily life," said one of the li craftspeople.
